Hi friends, Did you know September is National Self-Care Awareness Month. How good are you at taking time for yourself? I’m getting better. It not only makes me feel better in general, I feel like it makes me a better wife and mom too.
I thought I’d share with you the tools I use help my body detox. I get it, when you’re healing everything feels like it’s hard, like it’s work.
Eating all the right things is work, finding ways to get enough sleep is work, taking the right supplements is work.
The good news is hard work pays off. I’m healing, and I believe a lot of it is because of the hard work and effort put into healing the right way. It all has a purpose, and the purpose is to get us well, and as fast as possible.
Here are a few of the things that have helped me through my journey, along with eating healthy and taking the right supplements.
- Infrared Sauna: I’ve always loved a good hot sauna, but it wasn’t till my Functional Medicine Dr. told me about “infrared saunas” that I realized just how good they are for your health. Actually, daily sauna use in Europe is quite normal, and helps improve your overall physical, emotional and neurological health. After months of research, this is the one I chose from Clearlight Saunas. And I love it.
- Detox Baths: I love a good bath. Hot soaking baths are not only for relaxation but also good for detoxification. I love throwing in some epsom salts. They not only help rid your body of toxins they also help you feel relaxed. So, I always like to take a detox bath before bed.
- Liposomal Glutithione: – This has helped me a lot. Glutathione is one of the body’s most powerful detoxifier. It can support healthy immune function and can neutralize a broad spectrum of free radicals.
