Some mornings don’t need a complicated recipe — they just need really good eggs.
I recently tried the trick Dolly Parton and others have shared for making fluffy scrambled eggs, and it’s one of those simple tips that actually works:
👉 Add a teaspoon of cold water for each egg while you’re cooking…
Some, including Meghan Markle, prefer using cold sparkling water or soda water to add even more air to the mixture.
So no milk. No cream. Just cold water.

Why Cold Water Works
As the eggs cook, that cold water turns into steam, which gently lifts the eggs and makes them softer and fluffier instead of dense or dry. It’s an easy change that makes a noticeable difference.
How I Make Them at Home
This is the usual go-to
- Heat the pan on low to medium
- Crack eggs directly into the pan
- Add a small splash of cold water – 1 teaspoon per egg
- Gently stir as they cook with a spatula or wooden spoon
Why the pan matters…

Here’s the real-life part: fluffy eggs are great, but not if they stick to the pan or burn before they’re done. That’s where the pan you’re using starts to matter just as much as the trick itself.
For me, that’s my Caraway pan.
Why I Chose Caraway (Yes, It’s an Investment)
Let’s be honest — Caraway pans are more expensive than what you’ll find at most big-box stores. They’re an investment piece.
But here’s why I think they’re worth it….
Caraway cookware is:
- Non-toxic (no PTFE, PFOA, PFAS, lead, or cadmium)
- Ceramic-coated so eggs or food don’t stick
- Designed for even heat
- Easy to clean (a quick wipe and you’re done)
Even heat + a non-stick surface helps the eggs cook gently, which keeps them fluffy without needing a lot of butter or oil. The clean up was sooo easy!! Look at this pan AFTER cooking eggs!

If you’ve been wanting some good non-toxic cookware pieces these are great.
